Intern Testimonials

Don’t just take our word for it — here’s what our graduates say.

I think of you often and am always drawing from experiences from the internship in my everyday work. I recently applied for and was hired for a position as Elementary Music Therapist at Giant Steps, a day school for children with autism in Lisle, Illinois. I know MusicWorx helped set me apart in getting this job. Thank you!

Christina (Scheperle) Whipple, MA MT–BC | December 2011 Alumna - Intern Alumni

“I am in my third month working at All Children’s hospital, and I am loving it. I have been seeing referrals on all of the patient units, and I have started training and working with music therapy volunteers and doing department/child life special events and music groups for different age groups. The music therapy department received a million dollar endowment! The endowment mostly covers my salary every year, but we have hopes of continuing the internship program in two years, and the position has job security. I can never say thank you enough for all your educational help and support.”

Meryl Barns | July 2009 Alumna - Intern Alumni

I truly wouldn't be where/who I am today if it weren't for your help and guidance. The training I received during my time in San Diego has led me to various opportunities in New York and for that I will be forever grateful. Not only were you an excellent mentor/boss, you were also (and continue to be) a wonderful friend who helps everyone in need when the time arises.
