One of the many beauties of hospice work is its focus on the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. Not only is pain expertly addressed, but people’s psychological, social, and spiritual needs are also deeply cared for. As a psychologist in hospice care, Lori has humbly worked with all types of people in their last moments of life.
This card deck offers the lessons learned from people Lori has interviewed over the years. Each card provides a pearl of wisdom, then invites us to pause and consider the message from someone ‘seeing life from the finish line.’
Stunning nature scenes photographed by Ruth accompany each card, and inspire a sense of awe, as we ponder the possibility of nature as our greatest guide and most tenacious teacher.
Thank you to all the patients who shared their sacred wisdom as they viewed their lives from the finish line.
